but I know people feel

about hate?
It kills.
burns like fire
but leaves nothing to grow in its wake

It's real.

I like the feeling that this work gives off and the manner of writing. It seems you haven't submitted much recently. I hope you do so. The last two portions were quite well written and the ending itself was satisfying.
